Story
Behind
the
Inspiration
Chic & Sweet Jewelry started to really spark in the summer of 1998 in a little bead store near the beach in old town Santa Monica, California. The inspiration started as fun hobby, & turned into what is now......a professional growing business.
Chic & Sweet is owned & operated by jewelry designer & sole proprietor Cyndi Douglas. Cyndi has taken classes over the years to gain experience & knowledge of artistic jewelry design & fabrication. Her unique style has evolved each year throughout countless days of practicing in her studio. Basic techniques include: setting stones, working with metal, cutting, forming, hammering, soldering, sanding, polishing & more.
Cyndi believes in working with natural elements from the Earth, like gemstones, shells, wood & metals. She is currently working on new designs that are from recycled materials to limit waste of good metal. She reuses metal scrapes left over from her old projects & incorporates them into a fabulous design.
Chic & Sweet has been an established business since Spring 2002 & is sold online, in small boutiques, as well as fine art & craft festivals throughout the year. The jewelry studio is currently located in the wonderful city of Boise, Idaho.
Cyndi is a huge supporter of nature & planet preservation. She believes every person has the ability to make just a few small lifestyle changes to help preserve & protect the planet. No one person can do it all, but we can at least try & do our best
to make a difference.
